Sun Room

The project involved creating an entertainment room in the back garden of an apartment in Bangalore. The challenge was to design an enclosure that allowed natural light to flow into the adjacent kitchen, provided protection from the elements, and seamlessly connected with the surrounding greenery. This was achieved by incorporating skylights running the length of a sloping roof and sliding glass doors leading to the courtyard. The use of limestone flooring and in-situ pigmented walls visually linked the interior to the outside. The main feature, is a bar counter with integrated planters extended along the entire interior, emphasising the space's linear design.
